SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Tourists coming to Savannah now have a high-tech way to navigate through the city and learn more about historic sites.
Today two local companies, CityTrex and City Comber, demonstrated how it will work. Tourists can download an MP3 file onto their iPods for an interactive tour of the city and soon tourists will be able to pick up a GPS unit at Savannah hotels that will guide them around town.
The founder of CityTrex, Burton Sauls, said, "It's going to be much easier for any tourist to, number one, find their way around, but more importantly find the things in Savannah that are of interest to them."
