SAVANNAH, GA--Specialty children's stores like Just For Baby off Waters Avenue and Punch and Judy off Habersham Street are now offering parents an alternative. You can now find more toys and clothes made here in the United States or in Europe.
Both shops have also brought in an organic line. They carry things like stuffed animals and teething items for infants and wooden trains and trucks for older kids. "Once you know that people are actually looking for them, then it allows you to allocate a section of your store for that. So that did increase our push in bringing it in for the holiday season," said Casey Welsh, co-owner and manager at Just For Baby.
Although the toys and clothes are more expensive, they are not made with lead paint, toxic vinyls or wool.
