Gov. Sonny Perdue
Georgia suffers from drought conditions.SAVANNAH, GA--Because of Georgia's drought this year, Gov. Sonny Perdue has ordered water restrictions, launched a legal battle, and asked the federal government for help. On Tuesday, he'll call on a higher power.
Gov. Perdue will join lawmakers and ministers on the steps of the state capitol to pray for rain.
Perdue isn't the first governor to do this. Gov. Bob Riley of Alabama prayed for rain back in July.
