Possibly Tainted Cans Still Being Taken Off Shelves

Castleberry's has recalled millions of cans because of possible botulism contamination. Castleberry's has recalled millions of cans because of possible botulism contamination.

Stores and even food banks like Second Harvest, are yanking cans that are possibly contaminated with botulism from their shelves.

If you think you have one of the contaminated cans, throw it away immediately. "We want to emphasize don't open it, don't smell it, don't check it out to see if it's bad. Just throw it away," said Chatham County Health Department's chief medical officer Dr. Diane Weems.

Make sure you double bag the cans so animals can't get to them. At this point, only four cases of botulism have been linked to the recall. None in Chatham County.
