Burns Concedes; South Carolina Races Remain Uncalled

The race for Georgia's 12th Congressional District seat is officially over. Republican Max Burns has conceded defeat to US Rep. John Barrow, accepting the Democrat's 864-vote win without requesting a recount.

And county election commissions across the State of South Carolina are recounting ballots to determine the winners of two statewide races.

Democrat Jim Rex leads Republican Karen Floyd by 564 votes for state education superintendent. Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer leads Democrat Robert Barber by 3,232 votes.
