Savannah-Chatham police are cracking down on drug dealers in Chatham County. Over the weekend, the Counter Narcotics Team arrested more than 40 area violators in the war on drugs.
Officers arrested 21 people Friday night along Montgomery and Jefferson Streets. On Saturday, officers arrested another 21 people at several areas including Fred Wessels' Homes, Cane Brake Road, Alaska Avenue, West Lake Apartments and the corner of Chevis Road and Highway 17 South.
