NICHOLLS, GA (WALB) – Authorities in Coffee County say they have busted the most sophisticated marijuana growing operation in the county's history.
Hundreds of marijuana plants were discovered inside a 5,000 square foot home at 635 Allen Carver Road.
Sheriff's deputies conducted the raid late Tuesday night and found the majority of the plants in the upstairs portion of the Nicholls home.
Investigators say they also recovered $35,000 cash they found vacuumed sealed inside a PVC pipe.
No one was home at the time of the raid and no suspects have been named. We'll have more on this story later on WALB News 10 and updates throughout the day on WALB.com.
