EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - Every year the board of the Veteran's Memorial Park in Effingham County honors men and women who have served.
"The feeling they put into the songs brought tears to everyone of our eyes," said Vietnam veteran Phil Crowley. "It just goes to show that the people of Effingham County are just so grateful for what all of their veterans have done and what they're doing."
"It's not a celebration, it's a thank you and, it's a moment to remember those that did not come back," said Veteran's Board chairman Ruth Lee.
The rain kept the crowds smaller than usual, but the meaning was still there.
