FORT MYERS, FL (WTOC) - A couple of Fort Stewart soldiers were killed over the weekend after being struck by a car.

Police say Joshua Baker and Jonathan Peterson, both 3rd ID soldiers, were at home to Fort Myers for a surprise visit before they deployed to Iraq this week with the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment.

Police say they got into an argument, pulled their car over in a median, when they got outside to continue fighting, a car slammed into them, killing them both.

At this point police are still investigating, but no charges have been filed.
