LAURENS COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - What authorities believe to be a dog fighting ring is busted in central Georgia.
Laurens County sheriff's investigators say 97 dogs have been pulled from a property in Dublin, Georgia.
Investigators say many of the dogs have wounds and scars that are consistent with dog fighting and that puppies as young as 2-months-old were tied to 20-pound logging chains.
Investigators also say the dogs were malnourished and showed signs of infection, adding the living conditions were, "deplorable."
So far, no one has been arrested in this case.
