VIDALIA, GA (WTOC) - Barbara Summersett does not want to spend another July 4 in mystery. Saturday marks four year since her son Sean, was shot and killed at a holiday street party in nearby Lyons.

"I know less now than I did four years ago because every lead we've checked has lead no where," she explained.

She remains frustrated that no one has offered information to point to a killer when she knows of five to ten people who were near the scene. The case remains open with Lyons Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

CrimeStoppers has now joined forces with both agencies to offer a reward for information. CrimeStoppers can offer up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

Barbara has tried to raise reward money on her own to bring in leads. Now she doesn't care if witnesses come forward out of conscience or greed.

"I need to know, Sean's son needs to know who killed him and that person needs to be brought to justice," she added.

Anyone with information in the case can contact CrimeStoppers at 912.234.2020.
